OAT Farm Guest House - guesthouse,pension,Suceava,Romania, organic farm guesthouse

FARA is a registered charity both in the UK and Romania and has been actively working with orphaned and abandoned children since 1991 when the deplorable conditions of Romania’s state orphanages were first revealed.

In Romanian FARA means “without” and the charity is dedicated to transforming the lives of some of the poorest and most disadvantaged children in Eastern Europe – children without a secure home, a loving family, education and training whilst giving Christian values and often for the first time, hope for the future.

The OAT Farm (Organic, Agricultural, Training) was started in 2003 at the suggestion of FARA’s patron, HRH The Prince of Wales whose enthusiasm for organic farming is well known. Training facilities are provided on the farm for orphaned and abandoned youth leaving care – nearly all the furniture in the guesthouse has been made with the help of our students in the carpentry workshop on the farm.
